The proposal plans to regulate the use of transport aids include mobility scooters, electric bicycles, segways and hoverboards which will not be permitted for use on footpaths or roads.

It is proposed these forms of transport will be authorized for use along bicycle lanes and designated areas.

Furthermore it outlines that self propelled chairs are permitted along footpaths as long as they don’t surpass 4 km per hour.

It also identifies that all persons using the mobility and transport aids are required to have third party insurance.
